Over 50 clients, contacts and friends joined the team from haleys on Saturday 14 January as main match sponsors for the Preston Grasshoppers V Bromsgrove – Division 1 North Rugby union league fixture.
With Tim Haley spending the first 18 years of his life within 5 miles of Bromsgrove in Worcestershire, this was always going to be a great match to sponsor. Before Christmas Hoppers travelled away to Bromsgrove for a 36 all draw. Wonderful for spectators but a nightmare for coaches!
Blessed with a bright and sunny day, the crowd were treated to an entertaining game of rugby with a number of tries being scored but this time Hoppers were clear victors 32-19.
We were also lucky enough to see Sean Long (pictured left), the former Great Britain and St Helens rugby league star - come on in the second half to help seal the win for Hoppers.
Before the match a quick pep-talk from Tim Haley banishing the January blues was soon followed by vast amounts of food and drink.
