Burnley-based clients Networx3 have recently been awarded ISO14001 status, the internationally recognised standard for the environmental management of business.
The accreditation demonstrates industry best practice and sets controls and systems for the company to manage its environmental impact. This includes the use of natural resources, handling and treatment of waste, transport efficiency and energy consumption.
Networx3 was started in 2003 by Ian and Julie Ashworth, and remains a family owned and run business, with previous work on major projects for National Grid, Greater Manchester Police, Network Rail and the Etihad Stadium.
Speaking about the award, Neil Butler, Compliance and Training Manager for Networx3 said, “Minimising the environmental impact of our work is very important. With ISO 14001 accreditation we can demonstrate to suppliers and customers that we adopt the highest environmental standards. Alongside the ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard we secured last year, this makes a clear statement about the way we do business.”
