National Minimum Wage Rates – 2015

The Low Pay Commission – the independent advisory body to the Government – reviews the national minimum wage according to inflation on an annual basis.

The rates that come into force from 1 October 2015 are:

  • The adult rate for workers aged 21 and above will rise from £6.50 to £6.70 per hour
  • The development rate for workers aged 18 to 20 will rise from £5.13 to £5.30 per hour
  • The 16-17 year old rate will rise from £3.79 to £3.87 per hour
  • The apprentice rate will rise from £2.73 to £3.30 per hour
