A client of haleys that oversaw the management and production of this year’s Lytham Festival have been rewarded for their efforts at Marketing Lancashire’s annual Lancashire Tourism Awards.
Event Management company Cuffe & Taylor have been the inspirational factor behind the success of the annual festival in Lytham, which continues to attract many high-profile international artists and audiences of over 300,000 people to the famous green on the seafront.
They received the Tourism Event Award at the ceremony at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens for their work on the 2015 Lytham Festival that took place during the first week of August with headline acts including Faithless, McBusted and Elaine Paige.
They saw off competition from many other big events from around the county over the last year, including the Chorley Flower Show, the Lancaster Music Festival, and Stage Two of the Tour of Britain when the elite riders cycled through the Ribble Valley from Clitheroe to Colne.
This was also one of the 14 categories where the winner now has the opportunity to go one step further and represent Lancashire in the national Visit England Awards for Excellence 2016 in March next year. The county enjoyed great success at last year’s ceremony, with Lancashire-based Freemasons Country Inn and Sandcastle Waterpark winning Gold and Silver awards respectively in their respective categories.
But for the time being, Cuffe & Taylor can reflect on yet more success in 2015, following on from their award for Creative Sector Business of the Year at the 2015 Red Rose Awards in March.
The Lytham Festival originally began as the Lytham Proms in 2009 as a hobby for Daniel Cuffe and Peter Taylor who would soon go on to establish the Cuffe & Taylor business and oversee the grow of the festival due to the consistent huge demand for tickets.
