Longstanding Haleys’ client City Build Manchester joined Bolton Hospice earlier this month at a Silver Celebration Ball. The event, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Hospice, was an opportunity for all its supporters, volunteers and staff to come together and recognise the fantastic work that the Hospice does in the local community.
Bolton Hospice Chairman, Judith Bromley, said, ‘Over the last 25 years the Hospice has not only given palliative care to those with life limiting illnesses, it’s also provided much needed support for the families of those who come to us. This is a service that I’m extremely proud to be a part of but the Hospice would be nothing without its army of helpers.’
City Build Manchester, one of the sponsors of the Silver Celebration Ball, has been involved in an expansion project with the Hospice since 2014. The staged development entered its final phase in September 2016 and will be completed during the course of this year. The three year £1.2 million ‘Building the Future’ project is being rounded off with a series of refurbishment and building works including seven bedrooms being converted to en-suites, the creation of a new multi-use day room with direct access to the Hospice garden, improvements to the layout of the main reception, waiting area and nurses station, and the addition of a canopy to the main entrance.
The Ball started with a bucks fizz reception followed by a three course meal created by Paul Heathcote MBE. There was live entertainment that included the Showstoppers Showgirls, a classical guitarist, a caricaturist and music from Groove Thing. There was a silent auction and of course it was an opportunity for essential fund raising.Go Back
