Worthington and Graham, the commercial and domestic glazing specialists based in Preston, has been taken over by longstanding employees in the business Andrew Graham and Carl Harwood.
Established in 1946 by Ernie Worthington and Frank Graham, three generations of their families have worked in the business spanning a period of 70 years.
The strong family values and traditions that the business has been built on will continue under the leadership of the new owners. Andrew Graham has been with the Company for 20 years, although he’s not related to founder Frank Graham. Carl Harwood has been with the Company for 35 years and has seen massive changes in that time. The business prides itself on staying up to date with innovations in the glass industry and the product range they offer reflects that. Andrew and Carl worked their way up in the business and their commitment and dedication led to them heading up operations on a day-to-day basis. Following the 70th anniversary last year it was deemed the right time for them to take over and to take the business forward.
Michael Lucas, Director of Haleys Business Advisers said, ‘I’ve worked with Worthington and Graham for many years and it’s been a pleasure to be involved with this successful family business. All at Haleys send congratulations to Andrew and Carl on the takeover and we look forward to supporting them as they continue to build the business.’
