Croft Goode Architects of Preston win the South Yorkshire & Humber Region LABC Award for best social or affordable housing development

Congratulations go to our client Croft Goode Architects who scooped the Best Social or Affordable Housing Development Award at the South Yorkshire & Humber Regional LABC Awards held at Forest Pines Hotel & Golf Resort.

The LABC (Local Authority Building Control) represents all local authority building control teams in England and Wales. LABC members work cooperatively with building owners, home owners, architects, developers, building contractors and other professionals to ensure buildings are safe, healthy and efficient and meet the standards set by building regulations.

The Award was for the development at Orchard Park, Hull and was built on behalf of Riverside Housing Association. Orchard Park is a mix of 36 two and three bedroom affordable family homes and 16 one bedroom apartments.

The LABC Regional Building Excellence Awards are the leading business-to-business awards in the UK. The LABC network and is split into 12 regions, each of which holds its own regional awards.

'This isn't the first time Croft Goode have been honored by the LABC,' explained Tim Haley, MD of Haleys. 'Last year they were the North West winner of Best High Volume New Housing Development. We wish them good luck as they now go forward to the National Awards which take place in London in November’.
